Long ago, our family of four and a paternal cousin went to visit Hearst Castle. My dad reserved five seats from the Moffett Field tour bus full of senior citizens! So there were five seats available and probably meant for the ones who usually frequently used this service!
We got the cheap version and only got a tour of the inside of the place, which I remembered very little, only except repeatedly telling my dad to be careful where he stepped as the tour guides told us to stay within the designated path of rugs on the wooden floors. The updated tours included the gardens, though.
The only thing I remember was buying a cardboard cut-out and assemble kit of the Hearst Castle and posing proudly in front of the camera with my dorky bottled-eyeglasses, mouth full of braces, strange and wild curly hairdo, and weird late 70s clothing of long-sleeved green shirt and matching corduroy slacks.
Hello Flynn, nice, and good luck!
