Trying theme Messenger

20250109-1859. Lo and behold! For I hath made my own Twatter X site! Dark, black and all that and I can’t go back, too!

Anyways, I’m trying theme Messenger by team Automattic! Aha! As I haz suspected that perhaps most of these companies are using Matt’s stuff!

So that’s what I did: Reset the Blog Home template to Default. And then I proceeded to “back engineer” the blocks to clone/mirror the Twatter Hexed site!

Oh, I love it! But for how long will I keep this current theme? Time will tell, of course!

I made use of two plugins for my Blog Home page. And in order to use these plugins, I (already) signed up for Business plan, though I am NOT really doing ‘business’ per se of selling any products or services.

I just like to test and try-out these fancy DESIGNING features and report any bugs to the Engineers/Developers of team Jetpack and/or team WordPress.

So I guess that’s what I am good at: being a Karen. I wanna talk to/speak with the manager – right now, this instance, NOT a moment too soon!

Of course, my rule of thumb and per the wise words of my elderly father: COMPLEMENT in public. COMPLAIN in private.

But do I listen to anyone or my own gut feelings, hunches, instincts, intuition or any knowledge thus far?

No. It’s fun NOT to comply sometimes. But I digress.

So here is the run-down to my Blog Home page template design:

First Group includes the Header: Site Title, Two navigations using a drop-down plugin.

Second Group includes Three Columns.

Left column: Site Logo, Page List.

Middle column: Query Loop

Right column: Search, Two paragraphs using a random plugin and the Footer of one Paragraph.

That’s all. End status report 1915 PST.

    The full site editor themes got confusing, more limited in their base form, more difficult to adjust, more difficult to impossible to see a preview of it on your current blog, so that had led to me mostly avoiding themes that came out after Twenty Twenty One. So I have mostly stuck to the Twenty Twenty theme and sometimes I go back to the Twenty Twenty Elven theme. 😀 I miss the days when I could constantly jump between themes.

      I used to be able to the edit the CSS style sheets. I tried a plugin but it’s just NOT the same. I kinda sorta miss the OLD ways of doing things. Since none seems to view and visit my site anyways, I too find myself constantly jumping among these premium themes. 🙂

        Yep, I miss the old days, I am still a cheapskate that has stuck to the free themes & free accounts. 😀

      Yeah, things have been dead for several years now, it feels like blogging is dying, I miss the community.

      Speaking of free and open source, I have been using only Linux on my desktop at home for several months now, Ubuntu LTS, so far so good.

        Oh, now, I may/will need you “help” to setup my desktop using only Linux and such. Could you show me how/they way? That’s what I wanted as the next step! I guess I’ll ask AI LEO/Brave for the answers. Usually, my “friends” have been the search engine; since I do NOT always ask “help” from others. Sigh.
