I’m trying the newest WordPress.com: “Liquorice by Nudge Design”. So far, with the large font size and “Georgia” font style and with my favorite color scheme of parchment brown with complementary colors of red ocre and blue foam, reading is easier on the eyes. One cannot miss the humongous font size of the blockquotes!
The content is ideally located to the left of the sidebar, which has a simple default of only two widgets — a search form and blogroll links alphabetically sorted. As for the top navigation bag, I like how the thin borders gives a recessed appearance in 3-D. And the simple, the better: the “custom menu” used for my weblog is similar to the display version on mobile browsers of old cellphones: Archives, Pages and Blog, which I deliberately set as a “page” instead of as a front page of the latest post entries.

Ah! Heck! I switched WordPress.com themes again! I like the bigger fonts and buff-colored background of Theme: Liquorice by Nudge Design. What I didn’t like about this theme is the lack of my precious TIME stamps! Also noticeably were the double-lines underneath the “Site Title”: The lines were too close to the lower-case letter “g” and as a result, I made the letters upper-case, giving the appearance of triple-digit number of “666” That’s right! This weblog is now supposed to appear satanic (or a “psy-ops” using the term “Alternative” as part of my “Tagline” to describe my Illuminati-sponsored schemes.”

This time I’m trying Theme: Liquorice by Nudge Design. I like this one because it has BIG fonts! The “Posted on [pubdate] by Flynn” is shown directly underneath the “Post Title” for both the index and post pages. Plus, the “datestamps” can be viewed by placing the mouse over the [pubdate] link. The “Customized Header” works well but I have to figure out a good font color for the header instead of the default color of “red”. I like how the “blockquotes” and “Enable threaded (nested) comments” are handled inside different colors. But I don’t like how the “Asides” were handled: the post titles disappear!
