I am just now trying the newest WordPress.com “free” theme:
Grisaille by Nudge design
A classic two-column design adjusted for mobile browsing. Both featured images and Sticky posts are supported. Twitter, Facebook, and Google Plus Theme Options available, as well as custom menus, header image, and background. It’s pronounced “griz-eye”. Read more about Grisaille →
Here is my quick summary of my “findings”:
Pros
- Infinite scrolling
- See-thru background
- Responsive layout
- Use of the “Excerpt” field instead of showing the “more” tag version but will use both features in case I change my mind AGAIN!
- Big/readable letters/fonts
- Mobile version shows my “Excerpts” (forcing readership to decrease/increase on clicks of boring posts.) Bahaha!
- Bigger fonts for listed <li> elements via “Visual” tab under “Edit Post” page.
Cons
- No time-date stamp from archive/search/index/single post.
- No “Post Formats” supported, like “Sans Kloud” with its icons to designate the typs of post formats.
