You see, both my parents, my brother and my paternal relatives have high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels.
My parents take statin drugs, which I have taken long ago and works to lower both readings.
Even the lowest dosage have hurt my muscles. I could feel my loosened tendons and/or ligaments hurt, too.
As a result I have been taking 250mg (or half the pink tablet of 500mg) of “nicotinic acid” every other day for concern of liver damage.
As per Maw’s endocrinologist, he and his son cannot take statin drugs. Instead, they take niacin, the kind that causes the red hot “flushing” feeling.
After yesterday’s blood result, I will have to take my half tablet every day for three months before a follow up visit to ny primary care doctor.
This is to prove to her that I could control my high readings through proper diet of NO red meat and NO saturated fats and without medications yet.
That means I will avoid eating deep fried pork skins dipped in vinegar, deep fried chicken skins, Angus beef burgers, organic homogenized milk/dairy products, such as butter/margarine, mayonnaise, cheese, etc.
Plus exercising everyday to keep blood flowing faster through my blocked arteries in order to increase of blood to my big brain and to decrease of my hot-headed temper/ange/frustrations/outbursts and the potential of heart attacks/strokes.
I might add 81mg of low dosage aspirin every other day to help reduce blood thickness, too. So that’s my goal. 🙂
