My late/paternal uncle Sengyong taught people physics. But he didn’t have the formal training due to poverty. His trade was building, a carpenter. Like his father, my late grandad Juan, he helped build the town where my maternal relatives once worked the lands/waters as mostly farmers/fishers in the Philippines. They are resourceful and survive the best they could. There are lots of Filipino with ancestral engineering skills and other talented surprises, such as singing and dancing. By the way, I’ve been invited to “practice” with the church choir. Hehehe.
Anyway, I asked Maw if we could help put this kid through college but you know, we have poor relatives that need help, too. Argh!
