What was the last thing you did for play or fun?
20221222-0143. Yesterday, I chatted and called tech support. I was laughing out loud but just enough NOT to be overheard! I knew the techs were “plugs” to fill the job diversity quota. After two spuds and one dung, I got a chance to speak with a “senior advisor” who was trolling for data, which I laughed off by saying that nobody cares to read my stuff anyways except for the data mining centers at Utah where THEY can get their giggles. She then said something about retaining 7 – 10 years of tax records. But I did NOT care and gave her a difficult time too by being slow-witted, which is true.
Anyways for THREE to FOUR freaking hours whatever, I had to go troubleshoot why two to three phone calls were blocks. And so I identified the incoming phone number and added that to my contact tracing address book and then anti-spam app did NOT block that number. Huh.
I then learned to exercise great PATIENCE and allowed this middle-aged woman within my same age group to walk me through the process of investigating (which is a cover for CIA spooky spooks that I mentioned were giving an unremarkable time) why I keep getting the Login Items Notification banner on the upper right hand side of the computer screen.
She took notes and I let my imagination run wild as usual and hollered that I want to delete the Chess.app; so I could free up storage memory. She kept repeating do NOT delete these (critical) installed apps that came with my device and/or software updates. Whatever: and she did NOT know what was the new Freeform app. But she would NOT listen to me as I tried to show her that I understood with the drop-down menu and words “Move to Trash” NOT showing up for these app. Whatever.
Then she emailed me the usual crap load of, y’all guessed it, online documentations to read, meaning she could NOT do anything but snoop on my remotely accessed computer and its files, folders, apps, and layouts, and stuff like display, privacy, y’all know like the terms of services found in TikTok whereby EVERYTHING (about the devices containing the app) is recorded and kept by China. But she said just delete whatever documentations because it’s no longer needed.
I tried to find out how to notify team on closing the Case ID when and if the issue has been resolved. But I guess she needed to sign off for her half-day of work. See? I KNOW that THEY/THEM created chaos, which in turn created jobs for tech supports, senior advisors, and their engineers.
I told her that I would try to sit on it and wait for the next update but I could NOT stand it! So I decided to bug the shit outta these tech support and it worked.
Since reinstalling the current software failed as per her emailing containing the link to the decimation, I ended up erasing my computer AGAIN and reinstalling the previous software AND the current software updates. See? Chaos and then Order!
Computer is fresh again and the annoying notification banners no longer show up multiple times. She couldn’t figure it out too.
So y’all see folks, this is as much fighting back as I could muster. It’s NOT a big deal but when the largest big tech company messes with moi, then we Karens and Sharons gotta stand up and let our squeaky wee voices be heard!
I protested and had fun but at the same time allowed them to work and practice their trade.
