I tried going out for lunch but I’m not going to do that again! What should have taken me less than five minutes via highway 101 took me 30 minutes, just for driving one direction to my designation!
This morning I heard over our local radio on 105.7am, which has cool Latino/Hispanic music, Tamales (chicken or pork) for one dozen at $15.99 at Chavez Supermarket.
After wandering around once inside the McKee Road store, a nice lady at check stand number two called the “Taqueira” restaurant and ordered one dozen chicken tamales on my behalf! Bless her!
In a few minutes, I got my order in a nice aluminum tray, which I believe belongs to the Asian lady waiting behind me. Hahaha!
I went home, dropped off the tray, went poop, and had to hurry back to work. I didn’t have a chance to eat lunch either!
The tamles are hot and ready to eat. Try it! The “masa” is VERY soft, meaning it’s full of lard, which is the main ingredient that makes tamales delicious.
Every winter season, we try to buy tamales. Maw especially loves this Mexican dish. It’s her favorite and mine, too! I hope she enjoys her lunch with Paw – both of whom I awoke from their naps!
