I don’t use sunscreen because the smell is horrible! I tried a tanning salon back in the mid-1990s and got red for a while and then back to my pale color.
I warm myself upstairs with the warm sunshine everyday. Unfortunately, I have a slight farmer’s tan mostly on my forearms. The rest needs some sunlight. I hardly go outdoors, except while gardening and driving.
Maw takes her Vitamin D supplement with Calcium, which is supposed to help her osteoporosis. She was told to avoid the sunlight because of her medications, making her skin react, turning patches of her skin dark. She used to have Panda patches on her face long ago but now mostly brown freckles, like me.
Which is why I recently started wearing cosmetics since joining the choir at our local parish and, only on Sunday’s. The rest of the week I don’t wear any makeup.
So for the past four decades I hardly wear makeup! I never did learn how to wear makeup during my growing years and careers (a rhyme). Lipstick still tastes nasty!
The closest I got to looking pretty was wearing black (the color if my hair) eyeliner, the pencil kind, which I melt with hit water to make it soft.
No wonder I have little to no wrinkles, by pretty much avoiding sunscreen, cosmetics, and sunshine.
