Study: Workers’ Comp Reform Bill Increases Costs $300M | By Don Jergler | August 27, 2012
Received a political call from 999-111-xxxx (Caller withheld at 08-28-12, 3:08 PM). It was a computerized call for Senate Bill 863 and worker’s compensation reform. It asked if we wanted: 1) access to high quality care,; 2) higher benefit for injured workers; and 3) lower insurance rates for small businesses. We were supposed to press one to be redirected to our State Assembly person to give out input.
Okay. Here is my “personal” input: “clean house” immediately and save us taxpayers from drowning in debt. Throw us a nice floatation device of reduction in permanent/disability claims and flush out the dishonest/illegal workers/ALIENS who “tax” us with their burden. The permanently/disabled will just die anyway. Why let these thugs scam/take advantage of OUR benefits?
Further, these public workers MUST pay their “fair share” out of each pay check. Force them to “save” in this manner for themselves and their future and help the future generation/grand children the rising cost of this system.
