Quick Tip: Three Steps for Perfect Proofing

  • 1. Check for accuracy. Is everything you’ve written correct?
  • 2. Be merciless with nips and tucks. Is each word necessary? Is each word as strong as it can be? Does each word advance your point?
  • 3. Double-check spelling and grammar.

Do you have any tricks for tightening your writing and catching mistakes?

Bahaha! This world is imperfect! Proofreading can be imperfect. The best way is to know what you REALLY, REALLY want to write about, let the words flow out, don’t over-correct yourself during your brainstorming, and let the automatic spell/grammar checker do the rest of the proofreading. That’s all you need, besides a good understanding in the language in which you write your blog. Good luck!
