Here are my random thoughts:
Fundamentally, same-sex couples have the right to love each other. These entities “recognize” each other as life partners. I don’t know why they need any government or any law to tell them to marry or not. They are entitled to benefits afforded to those whose marriage are recognized by their residing states.
Traditionally, “marriage” is between one man and one woman. Back in those days, blacks and whites couldn’t marry. I don’t know how other ANCIENT humanoids handled their same-sex couples. Anyway, most people (especially Asians, Hispanics AND blacks) are primarily conservatives.
These MINORITIES have known that a strong family requires the consideration for the CHILDREN! This agenda has nothing to do with fairness or rights to raise a family properly in various combination. It is what values society wants to pass on to each generation/to instill into the minds of innocent children.
However, the different-sex couples also have marital problems, primarily because women didn’t stay at home and that men had to take orders from women. This scientific experiment won’t work over the long-term. People were designed to procreate, NOT have recreational sex, which after a while losses its appeal due to old age, bad health and just plain ugliness.
I see how this “theater” will be handled in the future. The same-sex people will have their way. Then society will allow more polygamous relationships (a la Mormon-style) and naturally like animals! Later on, bestiality will be considered a norm. And of course, people have already married their pets and pet rocks!
I could go further off tangent and involve the Muslim community, who may or may not afford the same civil rights protection for women and children, here in America. We will see how the Supreme Court mourns justice to the growing population of Muslims and of course other “minorities”, of course to include gays.
Oh Jesus! Just keep to the constitutionality of the Bill of Rights, Civil Rights, DOMA, Amendments, whatever and adjust said changes according to general feedback of overall consciousness.
Consider the word sacrilegious. Consider removing both politics and religion from the debate. Where do we stand?
