Topic #98: What’s your favorite place to enjoy the great outdoors? First, what’s it called? Describe Mother Nature’s beauty.
What’s a better way to experience the beauty of Mother Nature than in one’s own backyards? Here we have a small patch of land of the living. The fruit trees thrive as flowering plants hang on their limbs or grow from nicely lacquered clay containers. One hummingbird comes to drink nectar from these flowers and so does one big fat bumblebee of black! The birdbaths offer water to small birds and insects, too.
Under the patio, one could hear the birds sing. Most especially soothing is the cool breeze and the sound of leaves moving relaxes one’s mind. This is best enjoyed when reclining on a lounge chair with soft cushions, of course! Nothing hard will touch the back of a tired person. Plus, there is the convenience of food, water and the toilet at anytime.
But I digress. Townsend Park in San Jose, CA is wonderful. It has mature trees to offer shades. There is a central place where children can play on the swings. The park can be completed by foot in about thirty minutes at a small snail pace for walkers on the sidewalk; while joggers can have some sand as cushion for impact. There are some exercising equipment at various points of the sidewalks, a tennis court and a few wooden benches and tables to sit on. A wide open field is ideal for dogs to run around. There is also a plastic dispenser to pick up doggy poop.
