Topic #56: If I’ve been invited on a talk show to explain my job to the hosts, I would say I do on a daily basis: repetitive work. It’s very boring and not very challenging to the mind, which is still active and full of energy, just like the other temporary worker who left without notice. It requires no thinking at all. Just plug in the data into the form and Voila!
One must learn how to use the computer and know how to navigate within the system. This goes without saying that a person should learn how to think independently and enjoy the internet during down times. Browsing the internet provides long hours of entertainment but lots of news articles to keep abreast with today’s changes.
Oh and back to work. Working allows for people to interact with other human beings. Some are polished and professional, like Jen. But Hoan is a creepy old man whom I told yesterday to bug off. All three of us are temporary workers. It’s good for pay and less committed to work that does nothing but rot the mind and without two breaks and at least thirty minutes of lunch, the body would retaliate eventually.
