Topic # 219 : What's the nicest place you've stayed? What was the name of the place you stayed? What city is that in? What was the occasion? Did you do anything fancy?
This place stunk with lots of people who smokes! The rooms that were supposed to be smoke-free actually was filled with some smoke! And we couldn't breathe well at night.
But I like the calm interior and dimmed lighting. The interior sound was not noisy except for a few gambling machines. The restaurants were well priced. But we only ate the Asian food. Then the Ka for Cirque du Soleil was nice. Some of the performers fell off their rigs – sometimes missing their target.
Overall, I don't like the smoke or gambling scene. It was supposed to have been a business meeting among old high school buddies of my mother. It so happened that they wanted $10.00 a month to help some school for maintenance and repairs.
Mom was the smart one and vocalized her opinion that the Philippine government is responsible for taking care of their own people. The ones who organized the function wanted to get credit for their efforts without listing those who DONATED their money.
Again, I wanted to walk around some more but we were ready to go home after one day of wandering around the inside of this building. We didn't want to walk outdoors too much. Too many people were around to care.
