I noticed that the alleged skin burn of the girl didn’t go deep enough. The surface has some light brown areas left over underneath her right upper arm. I saw how the boy peeled off her “dead skin”, which looked VERY paper thin and almost plastic, like her traditional attitude and perhaps a sign that perhaps she is an android, or a clone of the original bio-unit. It’s something (as I cluck my tongue to the upper pallet of my mouth) that doesn’t sit right with me.
For example, my burns go second to third degree, leaving welt marks, which I’m sure would disappear with some laser cosmetics. Those current scars are from DC’s zapper – a fine unit meant to cook parasites residing in the blood. Now would my scars mean I’m carbon-based while she is silicon-based, another entity devoid of normal human “emotions” and such? I wonder why my small mind wonders too much for its own good.
Perhaps, plastic skins are resilient to change (unlike her tradition, which she continues to practice while dining in a FILIPINO household): to stretch beyond its limits but not quite breaking and to keep extreme temperatures of hot and cold from ruining her self-identity from being influenced by FILIPINO tradition.
I supposed plastic skins could be “‘greys”; while thick skins could be “reptoids”, who could be presumably identified not so much with corns and calluses on the bottom of their “feet” but of hardheartedness – inconsiderate of the feelings of others and down-right nasty, verbally speaking, and physically violent.
