Hello boy and girls! Today’s word is Orthorexia nervosa.
“Orthorexia nervosa (also known as orthorexia) is a proposed eating disorder or mental disorder[1] characterized by an extreme or excessive preoccupation with avoiding foods perceived to be unhealthful.[2]“
Flynn: Dammit! Just eat the apple: It keeps the doctors away!
Squirrel: No! No! I’ve read an article online about how pesticide is absorbed by these thin-skinned fruits. I also don’t eat dairy products, eggs, meat or the wifey’s tasteless/bland cooking.
Author’s note: This morning and just as I parked the Mazda in the handicapped parking to Sears (Tully), “El Rushbeau” was talking about this new eating disorder and that inspired this blog post.
