Idyllic scene from family life ahead

Ten years ago, I didn't expect my life would be anything like it is today. Call it selfish, call out fearful. I think it would have been filled with the challenges of family life, fun in the sun, rave in the waves, and share the fresh air with a significant other. Instead I got security from financial meltdowns, isolation from the outside world and a different perspective in life that living doesn't mean keeping up appearances but learning to cope the best way possible in a corrupt world full of insane people.
