On July 30, 2011 and from 14:11pm to 14:16pm, I listened to a presentation by Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma) on C-SPAN. He had two big boards on a stand on the “right hand” side of the television screen.

The first one showed how the following were “ALL BROKE“:

-Medicare,
-Medicaid,
-The Census,
-Fannie-Mae and Freddie-Mac,
-Social Security,
-United States Postal Services,
-Cash For Clunkers,
-Highway Trust Fund, and
-Government-run health care.

The second bilboard listed the following “Duplication in Fed Program“:

-Surface transportation – 100 plus.
-Teacher quality – 82.
-Economic development – 88.
-Transportation assistance – 80.
-Financial literacy – 56.
-Job Training – 47.

-[…]
-Food for the Hungry – 18.
-FEMA – 17.
