“Preface of Easter 4
It it truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, at all times to acclaim you, O Lord, but in this time above all to laud you yet more gloriously, when Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.
For, with the old order destroyed, a universe cast down is renewed, and integrity of life is restored to us in Christ.
Therefore, overcome with paschal joy, every land, every people exults in your praise and even the heavenly Powers, with the angelic hosts, sing together the unending hymn of your glory, as they acclaim:
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of host. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.“
This quote was something I’ve meant to share from last week. Since the receipt of the latest edition of my favorite “daily companion” earlier this month, I meant to share the following “message” contained in one of the seventeen prefaces on pages 36 and 37. Notice the “changes” of the “playbook” as it will come to past in bold letters only. The rest is just to share the whole preface and is made up of too much worshiping of Christ and pals — a simple “no-no”.
