I was trolling my front/home page to this primary weblog and noticed something missing: the Askimet Widget | Display the number of spam comments Akismet has caught.

I went back to my Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets and saw that it was still under “Available Widgets” | Drag widgets from here to a sidebar on the right to activate them. Drag widgets back here to deactivate them and delete their settings.
Of course, I dragged that sucker back where it belonged under “Footer Column 3”. Then I refreshed my weblog page. Lo and behold! The widget took on a different color: lime-green! It was light-blue before and I don’t understand what the change meant other then it looked wider and had “Georgian” fonts instead of “Arial” fonts, I think. The image shows 104,523 spam blocked by Aksimet.
Even the display to my “Akismet Stats” show lime-green in color. The image shows an accuracy rate of 100% for a total of 3 spams, 62 hams*, 0 missed spam and 0 false positives; while the “Yummy Pie” looks good at 95% ham and 5% spam. Notice the humorous rhyme between the words “ham” and “spam”. Bahaha! Enough! I want creamy and/or custard pie! Hungry, now!

Spam most people know; it’s the unwanted commercial comments on their blogs. Ham is what we call its counterpart, legitimate comments. On the Akismet mistakes side, missed spam is pretty self-explanatory, and a false positive is a legitimate comment incorrectly identified as spam (which, we hope, happens very rarely). Also, we meant no offense to vegetarians.”
