I made my choice for the shark. Because if the bear were in the water, the shark could come up from behind the bear and take a big chomp on its big behind. The bear claws would not have the same impact on land because the water is a medium that absorbs the blows from these sharp claws. Although the shark won't be a match against the bear outside of water, it's sharp, inward-growing teeth and bite deep into the flesh of the four-legged mammal. Once the wound if inflicted the bear may or may not survive attacks from other hungry sharks. This rare scenario is only possible if the bear somehow found itself in the middle of the deep ocean.
