While reading various pages about “caring and nuturing in a relationship” from another “dedicated blogger”, there are too many simple words to read that I’m really missing the point: It’s almost like the blogger is looping over the same issue: What’s in it for me?
In the blogs, I’ve read some people are desparate for anything or anyone — searching high and low, looking in all the wrong places until one day, expectations are met. The feeling is temporary, sometimes mutually but later on mostly irreconcilably different. The satisfaction required is usually fast and furious. But real relationships tend to develop slowly over many years, and for those who believe in the eternal spirit, mature over many eons.
There are two types in a relationships — one that supports as a benevolent host and one that draws as a malevolent parasite. One is harmed by the parasite. One benefits from the host. Which one are you? Are you a giver? Or are you a taker? For those who remember their high school biology class, a symbiotic relationship can exist whereby, if both parties would agree without weakening each other’s existence, the exchange of time and energy could be a win-win situation. Neither is harmed but lives together in harmony.
So how does one achieve a peaceful union without regret? Again, it depends on the person and how much of a personal savior one wishes to remain the host of said parasites. As we each travel along a path, collectively or solitarily, it’s important to remember those lives who have been affected by generous souls. While taking away the candy of a sweet tooth is bad initially and the spoiled brat cries loudly from lack of habitual forming treats, eventually this child will learn to grow up for once and find healthier alternatives to get what is wanted by working hard and finally without asking ever again: “What’s in it for me?”
Author’s note: I see the sunshine has come out from behind lots of white-washed, chemtrail-filled clouds in the skies! That must mean I’m on the right track. Bahahaha! Dude: Just get a job!
