Vote YES on Measure “I” | Local Money for Local Schools
Measure “I” is a local school bond measure on the November ballot that will allow our community to make the investments and improvements that our schools need, our families want, and our students deserves.
And every penny raised by Measure I stays right here in our community.
Measure I keeps it local:
- LOCAL CONTROL:
- LOCAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Requires annual audits of spending and annual review and annual review of expenditures by an independent citizens’ oversight committee.
- LOCAL BENEFITS: Allows East Side Union High School District to complete existing projects and undertake additional renovations – modernizing facilities, upgrading classrooms, and installing cutting-edge technology infrastructure – at an average daily cost of less than nine cents to homeowners.
With Measure “I”, our local schools get every penny.

I grew up/was educated in/around the “East Side”. I had an imagery of the “rising sun” from the east, of course. So that’s supposed to be a “good thing/luck.”
Then again, I don’t know about increasing the property value of these places over the expense of homeowners; since I don’t foresee ourselves being around that much longer to support any cause.
