Hehe! Well, well, well: I arrived at 5:31pm and Paw told me to call back the head hunter, who left a message with him at 5:28pm. He was awaken by her call! So I just called her back and she told me that she left a message on my cellphone and that the client felt I wasn’t the best fit for the assignment. Brouhaha!
So tomorrow at 7:30am, I’ll drop my badge up in Fremont, CA and hopefully get paid for two days. Wow! That’s the shortest temporary job assignment ever! At least I will save on gasoline, wear and tear of my car, and lots of headache from traffic.
Plus, I get to spend more time with my family, whom I miss dearly. Maw has been suffering from gout over the weekend and now I could assist her in her daily needs. Paw is there to help too but is fast getting old and slow, I’m afraid. The parakeets need more flight time, too. So now I have eleven brains to take care of – minus one because Pimon is dying now.
Earlier I saw the manager and the cross-trainer talking with two other big guys from 3:00pm to 3:15pm in one of the conference room. My hunch was right. It was about moi! Brouhaha! I guess it had something to do with sheer boredom of being UNDEREMPLOYED, my BAD credit report, or my help-desk ticket to the facilities department this morning about the slamming (fire) door. Mike said the pressure from the door (via the fire marshal) is already set to minimize the loud noise. Whatever!
At least I’ve got two slices of pizza that Krista B. brought in. Michelle said that Krista is so nice that she got fat from eating too much because of her. I’ll miss the sylphs near the area, the nice East Bay breeze from the sea, the white cranes circling overhead and geese honking above, too.
