Yesterday, I read the first two chapters of my newly purchased book (online) from Barnes and Nobles: “The Idyll of the White Lotus” by Mabel Collins. Already, the “Prologue” was disturbing. I knew right there, that I’d learn more about my favorite author and that the book itself/reading would be exciting and a fast read; since the type print/fonts were spread apart comfortably and large enough.
I had just read past the part when the novitiate had arisen from unconsciousness after witnessing the lady with golden hair. And soon after I smelled something fragrant! The date/time stamp per my notepad of my smart/cellphone was Monday, 2013/01/14 23:46 PM (local Pacific Time). That event was unusual because the air upstairs is still, save for the periodic heater turning on, and smells mostly of my stinky/natural body oil/sweat and left over laundry detergent/softener.
The aroma was most pungent in the hallway as I exited my bedroom (where I was lying down with my new book) to use the toilet and immediately recognize the source as gingerbread: It was a fragrant candle, the kind inside a large clear/fat bottle, which didn’t have a lid! It was a gift a few years ago from “THE TRUE AUTHOR” after a few days/weeks of thinking to myself of how I wonderful to smell gingerbread from a televised commercial. It’s all true, folks. Bahaha!
