Foreword sample

Creativity is alive and has always been within us. While the ordinary blogger is free to rant and rave about anything and all that may or may not have happened, the storyteller in actuality reports on nothing but the sensational or out of the ordinary and tries to make something out of nothing at all. A blog is pretty much useless as another mundane day filled with the boredom and when all the description posted is based on chronological or hierarchical order.

A poet, on the other hand, does the same as prose writers but with more flair and spontaneity driven by the eight basic emotions the instant an inspiration arrives by thought. This is where the distinction being nothing to something could wage an eternal battle of composing one masterpiece of sometimes sheer madness while forming yet other monsters to a much larger puzzle of other truths — truths that only the mind of the creator would ever confirm exists.

The very person with the voice of a poet, eyes of a photographer, hands of a gardener and the ears of a musician may well be examples of creators in the making. And through the mind a deified genius, creating nothing to something that is all things conceivably possible is next to impossible without feedback from other sources not originating from the current observer’s point of views.

What may be beautiful for some may be horrible to another. The interpretation of any writing, whether prose or poetry, is challenging because noone could possibly be capable of dissecting any hard work with complete certainty and figuring out what the person meant in the first the place.

If this page makes sense, then bless you all. If you love reading thus far, then bless us both. Whatever happens to each blogger is fair game because each person should be recognized for unique talents and inherent qualities of sharing their written gifts to the world.

Bloggers should not have to feel isolated or left alone in their own worlds and by their own devices. The world is waiting more from those who have a part in the creative process of journal entries. However, this is not place for numbers. Or is it? I am not counting. Are you?

Welcome: This is yet another attempt at creating a weblog in a more organized layout. I have discontinued posting my blogs under other free services online due to the limitations of certain features, which I find more viable in under this WordPress.com account. This weblog is currently under construction and I am continually updating areas for readability. Please be sure to check back occasionally for any updates.

The primary function of Flynn’s Blogs is to post my daily events as remembered with the following purposes:

• To find others like myself, define differences and redefine my reality by sharing samples of my creative writing and poetry about my personal experiences, opinions and belief systems.
• To allow readers a discovery of self — an inward journey by creating new beginnings together as an outward understanding of human evolution.

My personal success has been a remarkable ability to overcome the impediment of verbally expressing myself in person through publishing online journals in private. I thank the people around me at work for allowing me the flexible hours online, at home for loving me for who I am now and online for connecting me to the realm of possibilities. Without their continued concern for my goals in the future, blogging this much would not have been made possible.

Although I have not improved much in the interpersonal relationship area or assertiveness, the tireless hours of online activity has allowed me to become more open to the public. The contribution of my creative work to the blogging community has not earned any recognition or represented any group except myself and I have learned a great deal about myself and the imaginary reaction from others whom I may never meet in person.

The opportunity to post as much as I want without the hate of being misunderstood, the fear of not being seen or heard or the loneliness of being perfect without a cause on a weblog is like the greatest friend this blogger could ever have in a lifetime.

Acknowledgment sample

First, I would like to thank myself for being up this late in the hours of night and trying to acknowledge any and all that may have crossed my path in this current lifetime. This would be next to impossible since each person, animal, plant, mineral and the undefined way, shape or form is and has been already part me and as I to them. This is basically a unified concept of how one’s actions, words, thoughts, and deeds affect others, whether knowingly or not. By thanking myself, I thank the Creator for allowing me to exist at this moment in time and space, to express these aspects of my various realities here and now and to share my simple world going forward.

Second is my family. These are my parents who have also created me from birth and walked me through my growing years and into adulthood. They understand and love me with kindness and patience regardless of my limitation to reciprocate to their expectations of love. My brother is also a blessing in disguise despite my ongoing battle to contain the jealousy of having a competitor for affections and attentions from our parental units. Together, they create a bond that keeps me whole, well rounded and spoiled. My experiences with them provide good blogging material, too.

The third is the warriors who have loved and lost. These gifted folks continue to play a vital role in my awakening. After having participated on an online chatting session in their forum, I’ve started my online journals (or blogs) on Valentine’s Day of February 14, 2006. This day not only marked a pagan celebration among kindred hearts but the acceptance of both the love to earn my place on this planet and the victory to overcome my many challenges in this lifetime. I have been inspired to write my memoirs in this manner. Here is a poem dedicated to the warriors.

There are countless others from parakeets to relatives who made their way into my blogs. But gifting folks from this particular grass root movement of healing the planet have brought tears to my eyes by reading books, copters over my house by planting CB and gangs from every walk of life by annoying me, especially at work. These examples show the unified efforts of boosting by sending love with loads of fun. The success continues as humanity fully awakens and raises its awareness. And the signs and symbols of synchronicity are but other expressions of these events entered daily as blogging materials.

Other noteworthy mention is the ones who have sought my help. These are strangers whom I have never met. My encounters with them are unexplainable yet for some reason I have no real fear of them really. But maybe my curiosity invited them to allow for communication. They have found me nonetheless and I have no idea how these events are possible. They too have caused much confusion, noise, and sometimes utter nonsense. But my mind continues to validate their existence through my blogs. There is no comparison in words to describe who or what they are or how and why they chose to be with me.

Finally, I want to thank someone special for taking the time to be true. Who or what that entity may be is left up to my readers.

Introduction sample

This short introduction is basically about me, my surroundings and everything else unexplainable through poetry and blogs. Since my friends are limited to my family of two parental units and four parakeets at home and friends too stressed out or ‘busy’ at work, I’ve decided blogging would be a great way to let the world know that I’m perfectly content indoors near a window overlooking the backyard and the tall trees.

I’d sit on this white lawn chair with a foam cushion purchased from a local fabric store. The feeling is not too comfortable, and I’d find myself shaking and stretching my legs to keep the blood circulating. Sometimes I do not notice the enormous time of sitting down is for almost another half day.

The only time I would get up is to use the toilet, drink my water from this three-gallon jar filled for $0.25 a gallon afterwards or walk around a bit downstairs, eat something and to let my parents and the parakeets know I’m still alive. I hardly talk to them anymore after being tired from work and all too eager to start blogging upstairs.

My eyes would be focused in front of this fifteen-inch computer monitor from years ago and is still good though small. Every once in awhile I’d look outdoors to see the birds flying around, the winds whipping the tree branches or myself at the mirrors to my right side. I would make funny faces, wave my arms in the air and look at my body getting fat from this sedentary activity of blogging.

Using my fingers and hands are essential. Besides the usefulness of scratching parts of myself, this blogger needs her fingers to navigate around the website. I do not feel tired as my thoughts continue to provide ongoing streams of blogging material. This never seems to end since this is like playing the piano, which I have since retired myself from practicing.

Instead of the loud noises from this stringed instrument, I’d hear the humming sounds of the fans installed by my brother. This is supposed to make my computer cooler, but the rhythmic sounds are somewhat bothersome but tolerable amidst the noise of my typing on the keyboard. Other sounds are my parents who come upstairs, knock on the wall or holler at me to come downstairs.

This small world of mine is preoccupied with blogging for the meantime. I’ve learned so much about creating a weblog with this free service. Despite some limitations with getting my fonts and font size perfect, I may decide to pay for web hosting or a domain name. The next step is programming my website and that would make me a ‘Goshdarnit!’

I guess this ‘Something went wrong – 503 error’ means I’m doing too much for the server’s own good. Thank goodness the last paragraph above has been saved! Thanks Matt! Allelujah! Amen.

Further readings include off-topic satires on alternative topics, such as conspiracy and paranormal, and controversial subjects, such as politics and religion. What is Flynn’s Paws?

Like an ordinary candle flickering at night and like an extraordinary sun burning by day, Flynn’s Paws is a personal blog which contains my blogging material (which is an informative source of drivel and an enlightening exemplar of blather) of alternative TOPICS ranging from silly notions of conspiracy to random paranormal activities and other daily RANTS, such as politics, RELATIONSHIPS and RELIGION. What is Webloggerism?

“In the context of flaming : a series of nonsensical words, haphazardly strung together, designed to bore the reader into a coma-like sleep, giving the authour time to escape. Keywords to look for in recognizing a true Flynnism are : Tee-hee, pwned, oyu, and diva.”

The word play itself is a word association of the weblogger by the name of Flynn combined with the suffix -ism. Hence, my word “webloggerism” is here and explained below.

The weblogger (derived from blogger) is someone who keeps a diary or journal online and seeks to share private matters, such as personal thoughts and feelings. Weblogging is an internet social sensationalistic outlet and an addictive self-realization movement. It includes observations in the immediate surroundings and in the externalized worldwide views. The weblog practice is characterized by individual approach to daily entries and philosophies.

The weblog movement includes elements ranging from egoism through judgmental opinions and biases towards others to altruism through selflessness and concern for others. Weblog entries and philosophy sometime draws inspiration from major problems in politics, religion and relationships with strong influences from family, friends and strangers. Additional concepts of the movement include me, myself and everyone else interrelated enough to share personal experiences whether real or imagined.

Who is Fluffy von der Flynn?

She is a novice writer who artfully weaves short stories and poems through her blogs since February 2006. Her material is mostly biographical in nature, presenting an open and honest insight into her simple mind about deep thoughts and mixing in subject matter ranging from rants and raves, religion and science, business and politics to man versus machine or oneself, too. Her main goal in life is finding true love and how spirituality is behind all that is beautiful and why the existence of nature affects her worldview.

Where did she come from?

She was born in Portsmouth Navel Hospital (Portsmouth, VA) to hard working parental units, who emigrated from the Philippines. She was raised in a loving, Catholic family. Her upbringing was normal and simple, where birthday parties with friends living in and around Camp Allen (Norfolk, VA), piano recitals, fishing and clamming brought many happy memories to the young family of four. Playing in the snow during the winter season with her only younger brother by three years was also a past time fun. The family moved to California and lived in the Bay Area since 1976.

What does she do for a living?

Currently, she lives happily in the comfort at home with her parental units for free and in relative peace and quiet in the suburbs of a Mediterranean climate (Santa Clara County, San Jose, California, United States). She blogs the whole day indoors without a care in the world and is transitioning over to an unknown field of work. Her career has been in the field of finance/accounting, doing tedious work in the accounts receivable department as a clerk and data entry specialist. It’s easy work with the challenges of customer service being the brunt in any job.

When did she become a blogger?

The inspiration to blog started out after a chatting session with team orgonite (i.e. The Women Warriors). She was invited to join in their energy boost by ‘holding hands’ with strangers. After more than three hours that night and after one day of this event, she decided to enter her first online journal entry through Yahoo! 360. The date was on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, which was Valentine’s Day. So, this symbolically meant her passion was driven by her heart’s desire to share herself via her personal experiences, opinions and belief systems to the whole world in a small way by blogging online with love and light.

How come she doesn’t reveal her real name?

She chooses to remain anonymous for good reasons. Her blog entries contain some weird stuff which none outside mainstream science would even consider as being normal and mostly ‘out of this world’, if not crazy by some highly biased and opinionated commentators. Sometimes her frustrations are reflected in her blogs as rants, which would be very unpopular and quite hurtful for more sensitive readers, who may find her truths to be known as somewhat progressive, shaking the status quo of both the authorities and government. Why did she decide to switch over to WordPress.com?

After discovering how both Yahoo! 360 and Blogger.com did not offer the versatility of modifying the time/date stamps, she found her second home – this weblog site through WordPress.com on Monday, May 14, 2007. This weblog site has other features that allowed the creative soul express itself through color and graphics. The site has taken on a look from the ‘Toni’ and ‘Andreas09′ themes of blue color and the ‘DayDream’ and ‘ChaosTheory’ themes of purple and pink colors to the current ‘Quentin’ theme of red-brown and buff-beige color. WordPress.com is also a good place to learn HTML codes and edit CSS stylesheets.

When did I create my pen-name?

On 14-May-2007, I have created my pen name for former and newer blogs, going forward. And with five being the perfect number for me, the five syllables fit well with Fluffy von der Flynn.

What is my real name?

Pretty faith.

First, my ‘real’ name is unique. The pronunciation itself is best said by those with a Romantic tongue, which in Spanish would mean ‘faith’ (fe) and ‘pretty’ (linda). Or for those who know the basics of the Japanese language, the pronunciation would be: fu – ri – i – n – da, which appears as my epitaph located on the top in the header below my blog name. The written would be: フりーんだ (Hiragana) or ふリーンだ (Katakana).

The spelling of my first name has been derived taking the first letter of mother’s first name and creating a new one based on a popular version. Similarly, the son(s) take up after their father’s namesake. This is somewhat typical of Filipinos for reasons I do not understand and may be for convenience sake for those with larger families.

This brings me to my last name feeling ethnic in some way. People would assume I belong to any one group, namely Hispanic or Latinos, based on the appearance of my name, which contains the double letters of ‘L’. And this by itself gives the false assumption that I may be related to their ethnicity in any way possible.

I may be genetically predisposed to exhibit traits of mixed ancestry as a Filipino (Chinese, Spanish, or even South Asian Indian) but my physical appearance of looking more ‘Asian’ betrays my mostly unrecorded origins beyond my great-grandparents. I still have a hard time accepting who I am on the inside and what I’ve become on the outside simply because of my name.

How did I choose my pen name?

Below are three primary reasons as to how my brilliant mind came up with my first pen name:

1. Noun: My nickname is Flynn and is sometimes used by family and friends. I have modified this nickname used by my relatives and my full name for those who prefer to address me in that manner. Flynn is Celtic/Gaelic in origin. Someday I may dye my hair red but certainly not change my current gender as the meaning of the name implies.
2. Adjective: My blogs seem fluffy and the word means similar to fuzzy. My blogs may seem sarcastic at times, cynical as described by another forum blogger and loaded with dark themes of anger and hate. My imagery of the word fluffy, however, is the heartwarming feelings associated with cozy comforters, champion cats and cumulus clouds. I too am fuzzy all over but that is another topic to discuss. And you will notice a bit of humor whenever possible. Here is a sample of my funny side, if you care to read and understand my point.
3. Preposition: I needed to connect both the Adjective (Fluffy) and the Noun (Flynn). I came up with the words ‘of’ and ‘from’ as possible choices but those didn’t fit the creative aspect of my pen name. So I happen to love the picture of a fleur-de-lis or sometimes spelled fleur-de-lys, which if translated from French means ‘flower-of-read’ or ‘flower-of-lily,’ respectively. I tried ‘de’ but found that too short and came across the Germanic or Austrian version via ‘von’ and then ‘von de’ as my final choice.

Who is a blogger?

A blogger is someone like me who journalizes written material into a weblog, which is much like writing a diary book made of paper. Instead of utilizing paper, blogs are done electronically. And with the advantages of computers and computer technology, bloggers are now able to post their ‘blogs’ online and have others read and respond.

Why blog at all?

Blogs allow the person self expression to the world. Blogging is ideal who for those who prefer staying doors or are limited to the outdoors. I am myself quite shy and find blogging as an outlet for expressing myself what my normally more introverted personality would not be able to handle in the ‘normal’ sense of interaction with more extroverted ones.

Who is a dreamer?

A dreamer is someone like me who has vivid and sometimes colorful visions that are remembered well to this day. Audio and tactile sensations are also part of my dreams. Sometimes my mind drifts towards far reaching states of mind for my future. And those will have become fruition of and on their own pace.

Why record dreams?

Recording dreams is a good way to understanding the processes of the subconscious mind. In the past, I’ve noticed my mind would replay and reinterpret my deep thoughts about words, images, sounds or any sensation that may have occurred during my conscious or certain moments of awake state.

When should dreams be recorded?

I usually start recording my dreams upon rising or at any time I happen to remember the details from prior times. The most remembered are the important ones worth sharing; while the lesser dreams somehow do not get a chance to make the pages of my blog and are forgotten.

How should I record my dreams?

A good habit to start out would be to have a writing implement and some sort of surface media nearby in order to etch what the subsections of the mind has been able to bring to the conscious mind state. These two tools are handy especially nearby the sleeping area. I prefer to enter my dreams electronically through the computer.

Where should I begin my research on dreams?

Below is a section, which includes samples of my dreams that I could remember with the most vivid details. What I do remember has been entered mostly through the computer. Others are completely forgotten or not as important to enter into my blogs. And I should have been better prepared with pen and paper to recall those difficult details in my dreams.

When did I get involved with team orgonite?

Initially, an ‘alien’ chatter via Yahoo! Messenger and I talked about fate and destiny around April 2003. He mentioned something about ‘mobius loop’. I did a general search online and instead came across ‘mobius coil’ in a ‘Harmonic Pendant’ (or HP) made out of orgone and a couple’s adventures during their gifting runs and encounters with nefarious agents. I then participated on an open-forum discussion board for orgone, interacted with some wonderful people and learned more about orgone and its effect on the environment.

Who is a poet?

A poet is someone like me who has the spontaneous insight to pen their thoughts into paper without following standard forms of writing. Some do not need paper and recite impromptu in front of an appealing audience. Other poets are bloggers who prefer the electronic means of tickling their keyboards as if playing pianos for hours on end. Practice does make perfect for most in this way.

I have recently discovered the joys of creating poetry. Fluffy von der Flynn is always a frustrated blogger, who happens to rant about everything of this planet, including everyone who gets in her way notwithstanding those with inalienable rights. Not a day goes by without some form of denial that everything is fine and dandy or where the slightest hint of doubt brings misery knocking at her door for some much needed company in the form of blogging via WordPress.com.

When do ranting episodes occur?

Ranting comes on a moment’s notice, ruining an otherwise beautiful day without worry or care in the world. Ranting sometime happens when there is time to sit down in front of the computer quietly without distraction and blog coherently enough so as not to confuse the already bewildered readers.

Where do rants originating?

Sometimes this involves her closest relationships with people who are supposed to be loving, kind and supportive, no matter how bad any situation may be comedic to some people, who are not used to people prone to emotional outbursts. Fluffy likes to stick her nose into small details and offer re-interpretation, contradictory at times, based on her observations. Her annoyances are many but trifle. This explains why her blogs are mostly sad and serious, too. So don’t expect blogging material that is too light and fluffy.

How does one best handle rants?

There is no way to control those who have to explode due to holding unresolved issues, which probably has been building up deep inside one’s psyche or heart for some time. There is, however, the outlet of blogging online for ranters, who have nowhere to turn, noone to trust. Rant is best expressed in private and away from public scrutiny. It’s less embarrassing to appear weak and fallible, teary-eyes and emotionally distraught in front of those who have not a clue what is really bugging the ranter in the first place.

Who are the people in your life?

My blogs relate to people I’ve known and met and my relationships (special or otherwise) with each one. This also includes blog entries about other people real or imagined. Most of my blog entries are about my family, friends and relatives while some of my blogs are about perfect strangers that somehow made their mark on the pages of my blogs. Celebrities and especially certain politicians are part of my editorials in the form of poems or sometimes as rants in blogs.

When will you learn people are not as they appear?

You are correct that people present their best outward appearance for the whole world to see. This positive approach in life does no harm to another person, though at times I fail to understand how anyone could keep up appearance despite their less than admirable traits that strangers would not normally realize until later on as closest of friends. Some people appear sincere, open and honest at first glance. And unfortunately, some characters are way ‘out there’ in their own reality that others would shun as no fit for society. People are by nature imperfect, battling both their good and bad sides at every moment. The intrigue of this struggle to find balance, to either succumb or succeed is reflected in my blog entries.

Why do I mind other people’s business?

I like to discover what goes on in each person’s mind and how they operate under pressure yet keep cool in this insane world. In my limited understanding on human psychology and behavior, interaction with people has been rather dramatic, taking turns for the better and sometimes for the worse, where people no longer have anything to do with each other. As a result, I’ve turned to fictional writing to figure out why people play plastic (or wear plastic through cosmetic surgery) to feel a sense of belonging in their group and discount being true to themselves and honest about being different. I have yet to fully learn the meaning of life without reading and hearing about emotional and financial baggage leftover from people who experienced death and divorce.

How do you establish and maintain relationships with each person?

I do not personally go out of my way to meet people. It’s my personality makeup of being very shy and too quiet that prevents my social life from forming lasting relationships. As a result, my private life has been made comfortable and mostly through the computer. But for those who have captured my heart and interest, I try to make every effort to keep those persons who don’t mind being my friends in my mind.

Unlike certain family members who interact with me almost everyday, some of my closest and deep friendships do not always communicate much, revealing very little but keeping in touch in special ways, like sending cards and gifts through regular mail or a quick note of greetings through the emails or chatting services online. It’s hard work to make sure that there are no hard feelings that last forever.

Who becomes religious?

This section includes blog entries related to faith-based experiences, various religious and belief systems and spirituality. This has been the greatest interest for most of my life. And I have been gradually incorporating other interpretations of theology to supplement and perhaps override my original mind-set of being born and raised a Christian in a ‘CatHoleLick’ family.

Why are you religious?

My opinions on this subject matter is ongoing and have been influenced mainly by my curiosity to seek answers to questions that never seems to be fully answered by anyone reliable enough as a good source or wealth of information. I do notice any area behind religion (I use this man-made ideology loosely) becomes a means to define realities that are not currently understood by mainstream science.

Where do you find ‘God’?

My sources are books and on-line articles from various forums with different ways of presenting their versions of what or who is God, if there is none or more than one God, or if people should not believe in anything at all and simply resign control over their fates and destinies to whatever or whoever may know better than themselves.

How do I learn to be religious?

My blogs here should be considered truly my own thoughts. And that I am always right and no one else needs to tell me that I am wrong or otherwise meaningless. This means that your faith in my words alone is proof to me that you, my dear readers, believe in me wholeheartedly and without fail. But then again, your truth is as good as mine. Who is a spammer?

A spammer is a complete stranger that sends out spam (see definition above). My spams happen to be from strangers not from this country. These spams are related to mostly commerce or business related endeavors involving the substantial receipt in the form of monetary value. I’ve received some in the form of job offers to conduct business elsewhere. The stories relayed in the body of each spam are an urgent plea of some sort due to dire straits or death.

Why are you sharing your spam?

My purpose is to show the various samples of spams and allow other recipients to compare theirs to mine. This should encourage the doubtful recipients to rest assured that most are not legitimate. In most cases, anything from a complete stranger should always be avoided at all cost. If the cost is out of curiosity, then the recipients of spams are left to their own devices.

How can one tell if an email is a spam?

Here are ways to tell if the email is a spam:

• The recipient does not recognize the name or the email of the sender.
• The sender does not address the person properly in their full and/or proper name.

One could also tell if the email is a spam if one email account receives nothing while the other does. The emails I use actively seem to receive the most spams. I know my other email accounts, which are currently in private mode and are not is use, do not receive spams at all.

When is the final resting place of spams and spammers?

When something seems too good to be true, this is not a good sign. The recipient of such unexpected emails should not bother reading these and ignore completely. The next step is to delete and report these as spam to their service provider. This should help minimize the amount of incoming junk email in the future. For the worse case scenarios, the authorities are involved and the perpetrators are fined and/or jailed.
