I’m no (financial) expert. But as a blogger, I don’t see what’s the “big deal”.
Isn’t FB one of those internet company that doesn’t sell anything? If it wants to make money, FB should charge its user something (at least).
Otherwise, the “free usage” means something is “too good to be true”. And that “something” is the personal data of each user.
If I ever owned FB stocks, I woulds demand a change in policy and more control over my data before, during and after signing on/deactivating my account.
*Off-topic but related to my rant: For example, I know WordPress.com has trolls in place. As a test, one image from a Yahoo! Webpage was uploaded into this weblog. The image was removed because I didn’t provide a link or source to the image. But it is still in my “Media” library. Later/a few days later, a “news” article was put out to show that WordPress can do whatever it wants (per TOS). At that time, it was free for me until I “Registered a Domain” for further tracking purposes.
