While still seated to digest this morning’s breakfast at around 10:03am, Paw was having fun discussing gays in the military. We were watching an old C-Span.org show from Thursday in which a panel of Senators and military personnel were present.
Paw mentioned that gays were present during his service in the Navy. Two disbursing clerks were caught in action and booted out of the military. One was black and one was white.
He also said that some showers were not private at all. And the gays were having a “field day” at the sight. But he did say his ship had partitions.
I feel that gays are serving in denial. It would better that they be open and honest of not just their sexual preference but sexual orientation. If the application forms have areas for gender and race, surely there should be some data collection for the gays.
Honestly, the military has a long tradition of “straight” service men and women. How can one march “straight” if they prefer to be more colorful and gay? It’s not fair for these “deviants” to conform when they cannot help themselves. They are not robots. They have feelings, too.
