“Differences” divide us more because as you get to know the person/spouse/stranger based on alleged/initial “similarities” during the dating/short term periods, the novelty wears thin/off gradually, ensuing the potential for nagging/complaining about known “differences” of anything over the course of a long-term relationship! Don’t doubt me! Lots of couples marry for the wrong reasons. And although they are miserable as hell, they continue to live in blissful/abusive ignorance because that’s all they know/used to love or that no one else will like them for who they are. I hear it all the time among elderly Filipino couples at our local parish. I see how widowers gloat in happiness over their newfound freedom from the hormonally-impaired, fugly sack cows they used to enslave them. It’s equally sickening to hear my own peers, the twit/boy and her Chinese friends/white boyfriends living together, go through crap because “everyone else” (liberal/progressive) does it – fight. To hell with you people. You all should be ashamed.
