You have to learn a new skill. Do you prefer to read about it, watch someone else do it, hear someone describe it, or try it yourself?
Since I don’t really learn by doing and since I’ll forget anyway, I’d have take notes on what I watched and heard as the person demonstrates this new skill. I could learn from “back-engineering”, “parroting” and “practicing” over and over again, until I could perfect the pitch, for example for choir at church.
It’s harder than you think, not just reading the notes but being able to express the song carefully in tempo while watching the conductor lead. Unfortunately, the mostly WHITE old ladies have their own ways. As per Maw, I was the only one watching the conductor, who might end up leaving because these damn toids refuse to “change”.
