Hello fellow Christians! This is Evil Kitty with some wonderful news!
Let me start out by expressing my sincere gratitude and thanks for all y’all done. You’ve welcomed me with open arms and into your group of marital misfits. Before joining your singing group, I was merely a spectator among the faithful worshipers. I prayed and sang like everyone else. But I knew I could become one of the singers.
Last December, I attended a mass and sang rather nicely. A parishioner heard me sing and later told me to rehearse with the main choir every Monday night. I challenged that opportunity and actually showed up on the first Monday of this new year of 2013. A sat with the sopranos but realized that I was struggling to hit the high notes.
I was asked by the new Boss to sit with the altos. That was a good choice and from then on I felt my place was established. Suddenly, the “cunning one” showed up with other members from another singing group. From then one, she seemed close to me, almost as if not really leaving my side. I felt suffocated and really didn’t know anyone else, except the one who first invited me.
Fast forward a half year later, I’ve had the blessed pleasure of being a keyboard accompanist. I screwed up the twice. But the third time was excellent. I dedicated myself to practicing the music pieces countless time to feel comfortable enough to perform with the singers. The experience was nerve wracking since the audience can be brutal. I know because I was once a bystander.
After all those trials and errors, I’ve learned to that this year is NOT as superstitious or bad luck as the number thirteen was made out to be and for the most part has been my strongest year yet! I cannot believe the Lawd has placed me at the correct time/place to participate among a group whom I’ve misunderstood as being troubled/lost souls when in fact the opposite it true!
They are insane! They don’t realize they are worshiping in a tax-exempt GOVERNMENT entity that allows pagan worshiping! Alas, my assignment is not hopeless after all. I’ve deliberately inserted a potential liability to their faith-based programming but sharing a bit of what they least expected – that they are NOT alone in bullcrap.
Anyway, thank for taking the time to listen to the blathering drivels of FLYNNSPAWS as I figure out why music has becoming boring and rather disappointing. Something is either missing or wrong with this whole scenario to keep me interested a while longer as an un/deremployed fool, who has NOT accomplished much in her life.
