“It’s never a good idea to discuss religion or politics with people you don’t really know.” Agree or disagree?
Heck, those damn missionaries wearing black pants/ties and white shirts think it’s a good idea to weasel their way into any household by knocking on/ringing the front door/bell and showing religious material about hopeless salvation with their group. So it’s a good idea to discuss religion and politics, just to get an idea of what sort of idiots are walking around in my neighborhood.
For example, during a luncheon in the Great Mall last year, Maw was talking about politics. For all we know, Edna/Danillo are Democrats! They believed in Obama and are aware that FoxNews is just as bad as other cable news programming. The same went for Edith/Ogie. In another example, Maw was approached by Binh who claimed to know the Bible from front to end. He and others are boastful, not humble.
While we like to join company as a form of socialization, we avoid being too close to anyone, especially those who give us bad vibrations. But we are polite to exit quietly and as quickly as possible, not that it’s a superstitious bad luck, but that it is safer NOT to get involved with the drama of lost souls who can’t seem to find peace.
