“Hither and thither” I went about to the sitter,
Where once upon a time we played our childhood board games,
Not to be bored or a stiff as a wooden plank,
But to wipe our tears and fears with a hanky,
All honky or dory not sorry for being spoiled rotten,
To the core, an apple in Paw’s eye, not one but two,
As was my younger brother by three years, sweetie pie,
Or simply a small prick or blueberry thumb,
I hum a tune and soon I shall swoon,
Into dreamless sleep until the next morning…
