Theresa has been kind to ruin my teeth by giving me chocolate candies – left on my desk or thrown my way. It’s her way of sharing food from her area at work. She gave me one bite-sized M&M. The other day was bite-sized Hersey’s dark chocolate with rice crispy and special dark.
These acts of “kindness” reminds me of Leoni, who would throw bits of snacks on my workstation, too. She’d do that to the new boss, who micro-manages. And yes, the puss-heads at my former job (if they are so smart) are reading my blogs, too.
I’ve heard that my former co-workers keep to themselves. See? They too had a chance to leave but they decided to stay. And now they have become automatons, functioning human-like robots trapped in cubicles. The bigger the company, the more control. I don’t like control. That’s like prison. And here I am “doing time” again because of TPTB and pals.
But the blessings come in nice surroundings of trees and its shades. Some birds and insects, too. I love the outdoors now! And I’ve gotten a chance to actually see sunlight after all these years of working indoors.
The work keeps us busy but not so stressful. And the work load allows us time to get up and do mini-exercises of WALKING far to the bathroom or to the mini-lunch room to refill our mugs with water and coffee.
The people are multi-cultural and calm, meaning the work is well suited for their intelligence and expertise. I for one don’t care because I get easily bored and would rather talk to people interested enough to give me a chance to vent.
A box of chocolate is what I found here at work. My life is chocolate – always sweet in small morsels. I’m in chocolate heaven, where beautiful people come and go, as does the bad breath and bad English of a few.
