Recently, I’ve been hearing about this Tebow via television on cable programming. He is a quarterback for the Denver Broncos and would kneel down after something positive happens on the playing field. That’s nice to know but I don’t care. This gesture is less scary that a bunch of monkeys dancing around on the end zone after touchdown. Get it?
Anyway, if he was a humble person, he wouldn’t do the “sign of the cross” in public either. What is he trying to prove? Is he trying to evangelize his religion, gain membership and monetary donation for his cause? I had to look up his religion online during breakfast because we assumed that he was Catholic. Catholics normally make the “sign of the cross”. We are not aware of other Christian affiliations that would do the “sign of the cross”.
I read that he is a “baptist”. I had to look up the meaning of being a “baptist”. They normally baptize adults, not infants, and immerse the adults from head to toe, not just over the heads like babies. Further, his parents are into missionary work in and around the Philippines. That’s nice to know but I really don’t care.
So what is my problem with people “proletarizing”? (That word just popped into my mind. I really didn’t know the meaning of “proletarizing” and had to look up the word online.) Just quit spreading your religious cooties in public and keep it to yourselves. You are offending other religious and belief systems. You don’t even [know if there is “god” or other “gods” that you might be offending.]
