“There’s a lot of people who believe in God but don’t want to be constricted by the church organisation.”

Yup. Most kids in my generation and many others don’t really care all that much about rituals/practices of their “church”. Personally, I’m just tagging along with the old farts until I can escape my church.

“It’s too boring and I don’t like crowds. The pews are too hard/uncomfortable!” Said the middle-aged boy.

Though he was born/raised a Filipino/Catholic, he prefers being like one the Chinese and attends their functions but doesn’t understand a word coming out of their mouths. He’s probably a practicing Buddhist for all we know.
