I think 3D movies are a fad and not here to stay because it doesn’t replace what people can “view” outdoors: Being indoors to appreciate 3D on a two-dimensional flat-scene television/monitor is not the same. If there is a nice holographic technology, that would be better. In the meantime, movies are infantile and are most recently depicting violence, death and dying, which again destroys beauty in the world that can be found outdoors.

Here in the U.S. it can sometimes be harder to find a theater playing a new movie in plain old 2D than in 3D. Do you think the trend for releasing movies in 3D will continue, or is it on the way out? Why or Why not?
Roger Ebert has a great take on this issue, worth reading.
