So I decided to check on the status of my DNA results via a regular website and NOT a smartphone app for Android. The 23andme website says:
Hi [real first name here], your kit is currently being analyzed.
We’re turning your DNA into knowledge.
See how we do it.Registered
Barcode [number here] registered on Jun 20, 2018.Kit in Transit
Received: Jun 26, 2018.Receiving and Quality Inspection
Accessioned and passed inspection. Completed: Jun 26, 2018.Learn more: When your sample (along with hundreds of others) arrives in the initial receiving area of our lab, one of our technicians opens up the package and scans your kit barcode. We also perform a visual quality inspection to ensure there is enough saliva for processing.
DNA Extraction
DNA extracted for analysis. Completed: Jul 14, 2018.Learn more: During this first step, we isolate and purify the DNA from the cells in your saliva. Did you know? Most of the DNA in your saliva comes from your white blood cells.
DNA Analysis
Repeating this step due to low call rate. (Here is where I believe the Lawd Gawd intervened to mess up my stuff.)Learn more: During this analysis step, we make copies of your DNA so we have enough to analyze. Then we place your DNA on our genotyping chip and use a computer to read your genotype at each location we test.
Quality Review
We’ll check each set of data for call rate and accuracy.Learn more: During this quality review step, we anonymize and group many samples together into a larger set of data. This entire set is reviewed for call rate and accuracy as part of our quality control procedures. Learn more
Initial Raw Data Processing
We’ll prep your raw genetic data for interpretation.Computation and Report Generation
We’ll calculate ancestry and generate all your reports.Learn more: Once your raw genetic data comes back from the lab, we interpret your genome and generate reports for you to view right here in your account. Your Ancestry Composition report and the DNA Relatives tool require additional computation, which happens during this step.
After viewing the brief YouTube video dated 2013, I saw two stuff: Illumina and hybridized chip. See? The Illuminati wanna clone humanz with their spit! Brouhaha! No.
Anyway, the idiots gotta provide whatever dataset they can derive from the first call and make a comparison with the subsequent calls. I demand to know what difference does it make? Oops.
Yeah, so I hope the second DNA extraction will be successful.
Based on the DNA results of Das Squirrel, I’m looking at:
- 99.5% normal stuff (99.3% southeast stuff, 0.1% surprising stuff, 0.1% broadly stuff)
- 0.4% other stuff (0.3% broadly southern stuff, 0.1% broadly stuff)
- 0.2% unassigned stuff
Basically, I’m a flip.
