Woohoo! It’s lunchtime and it’s freaking warm! I’m standing outside the first of five outdoor tables with red square umbrellas to this temp job from hell. It’s too hot to walk outdoors. So I’ll blog instead
For one month, I enjoyed cross training myself on Excel spreadsheet. I’ve been rusty. Within the first and one-half week, I learned how to setup pivot tables and use the vlookup features. The copy paste special is especially useful.
Within two weeks, the three of us completed the data entry. For the next two weeks, the two were faking their efforts. That’s the price for free stuff.
There was no way we could have reconciled our work without the missing employee reimbursement expense report generated from their payroll system. So I complained due to dishonesty in efforts.
And today, the two were let go. For the next week, I’ve got projects to help the client to keep me busy. I get frustrated during down times. I don’t know what else they want or need from me.
Since this morning, I’ve turned on my GPS locator, thinking today was my last day. And so while the construction on two nearby buildings are going on and kicking up dust, it’s neat to eat, work, and sleep.
I’ve taken notes but can’t really publish that stuff since it’s copyrighted. Yup. Oh my title is payroll specialist and I saw lots of nice numbers.
