Flynn: I looked outta the kitchen window and saw Dad cleaning out the birdbath. I also see him hauling those orange-colored, five-gallon plastic buckets of water for the potted plants. For the past few days, I’ve seen a couple of tall dandelions growing through the ginger rocks decorating the backyard! I’m hoping that Dad won’t cut those so that insects could thrive a little bit as foodstuff for the birds. I’ve not seen any birds using the birdbath since the weather is cloudy and cold. The skies had layers of popcorn clouds early this morning and whale clouds later on the day.
Kitty: I wanna see some birds, too! I like the little yellow-chested ones, the red-chested robins, the blue jays, the mockingbirds, and some crows, too! And that black cat can be seen drinking from the birdbath. Sometimes, it stretches itself in a scary wormy way, stands on its hind quarters, and places its front paws upon the edge of the birdbath, and drinks the water. I think it likes the taste of the birds that water. Then sometimes I see it waiting underneath the calamansi shrub and watching the birds bathe. But most of the time it just curls up and snooze until you scare it and the birds away!
