Greetings, chumps!
Well, the swollen one is tucked away nicely for the night. Dad is cozy upstairs. The two remaining parakeets are okay. While I’m still awake and blogging after trying to expedite my scanning project.
So far, I’ve completed eighteen “rolls” of film negatives. I’m estimating another twenty from the eighties, another twenty from the seventies, and a handful from the nineties, and loose photo prints without negatives.
If I don’t have appointments or chores getting in my way, I’m hoping to be done around Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. I really don’t wanna hold onto memories and plan to toss the printed photos with a note saying, thanks for the memories.
I’ve shared the completed files with my parents tonight. For some odd reason, I’m missing mysteriously a long HDMI cable, which is supposed to be near the main television monitor, located in the corner of our living room and facing the front door. Thankfully, in my plastic drawer of unused electronic stash, I located a short, arm length HDMI cable, which was nicely wrapped and handy.
The disappointing part in this project is that no one could fully appreciate the memories other than the parties involved – my parents and me. Das Squirrel doesn’t care, except for his a Facebook “friends” and himself. I resent humanz discounting their past, a foundation of who they’ve become. Plus, there are no grandchildren to share history.
Sad. I might have seen tears barely welling up inside Dad’s tired eyeballs, after he saw his scanned narratives on the back of each photo. Some are fading away and are barely readable.
That’s why I must stay unemployed until I can completed this project, which Dad said was too many and and of which Mom said to let someone else process. Yesterday, I requested that he place hiss plastic bins of diaries for me to scan and archive. Tonight, he got that surprised look on his face when I told him that I’ll shred each one!
Sorry. I’m a control freak and I don’t like to wait fur results. Plus, these are old unprofessional, personal photos of mostly birthdays and Christmas anyway. And although I’ve been rushing as much as possible before Mutha Fucka suffers a heart attack or something to that effect and dies, and although the quality via the negatives is pretty good, thanks to my new Epson Perfection V550 photo scanner, I’m wearing out.
If I could hire a monkey for free to do the same job, yay. But that’s impossible. Yeah, so, if y’all can distract these annoying old fools for a little bit longer, I’d like an uninterrupted schedule of at least eight hours a day. Is that too much to ask? Sheesh.

Addendum 20151109-0020. In between scans, I was also pushing more auditing of old files. These were already scanned using my Neat.com desktop software. Due to my uncertainty, the archives were duplicated or even triple the mess! I’ve over seven hundred .ndx files to import into the Neat.com application and save mostly as .pdf files. I found a few that weren’t extracted into a readable format.
Also, I completed downloading those shared twenty-two “freestyle music” from the eighties by Madame Mews a couple to three days ago. Thanks. I don’t know what happened, but my resources were low at that time. And so I moved those files to my two back-up hard drives. Sheesh.
