Off-topic rant based on old nagging thoughts.
First, I personally don’t know old “Hickory”, or if she has a horrible temperamental outburst, or if she’s a lesbian, or if she’s under mind-controlled meds, or if she’ll be the next presidential worker of this American corporation.
Second, she’s an old fart, who excel at verbal communications compared to my younger generation. And like most old farts, including my parents and their generations past, they don’t care about or how to use modern technology.
Third, whoever set-up the server and installed the various software applications should have kept the system simple for any busy official.
The “lead” Information Technologist should have at least suggested what she can and cannot do with her files.
That responsible person could have at least set-up various levels of “parental” lockout feature for official documents.
Further, a mandatory 24-hour security and monitoring, including backups must be done and overseen. A private, independent, third party vendor may be necessary to process these activities, since the government is so fucked up.
Yeah, so, it’s easy to copy files from any computer. It’s easy to use personal accounts. It’s easy to blur the “lines” between official and personal activities.
There must be guidelines contained in any SOB to protect both and any parties, of course. So that’s an ongoing issue for any technology-driven society.
