Dear Lawd Gawd,
Thank y’all for answering my prayers! Today was my last day at this temp job from hell! Let freedom ring!
The HR director, the head hunter, and the accounting manager couldn’t figure out what to do with me.
So with my final nail in the coffin of complaining about that annoying guy, I suspected that I helped make their decision much easier.
None wanted to let me know that my contract has ended. The HR director had to break the bad news. I was really relieved but I could sense it was difficult due to some watering tension in her eyes.
So she accompanied me the whole time, while I packed my belongings and handed her the electronic key entry. She bade me farewell. She gave me her business card, too. Great.
At 1500 pm, she might have phoned my extension in error. As soon as she hung up, that negguh walked away from his desk. I sensed that she was alerting me in what I hope was informing him of his bad behavior.
As soon as he returned to his desk at 1520, I quickly grabbed my hat and took my mid-afternoon walking break outdoors.
I sensed that he’d leave from work at 1530 and I decided to keep away from him by walking in front of a shared building to the left of the flagpoles for the whole fifteen minutes, where the trees shaded against the afternoon sunset.
At around 1533, I saw his broken down black Honda Accord sedan pull out from the usual parked position, nearest the entryway landscape. He parks facing away from the curb, like the Native Rose.
I paused facing the small, black bubbled camera near the two light-colored wooden benches. I’ve observed that he sped off angrily because the six cylinder engine was over revving. He normally drives off in a normal pickup pace but not this evening. Bahaha!
So I went back indoors and sat down to continue working merrily. I took my last phone call. A nice elderly lady from Burbank, CA. I waited with her on the phone until she received my very last email, which took five minutes! Bahaha!
The HR director was at my desk again but I was tied up on this last customer service gig. The Native Rose gave me a yellow sticky note to call her. I did and stopped by her desk.
So after all that, I said goodbye to the Native Rose and no one else.
With lots of hisses,
Evil Kitty
