Truly, the Lawd Gawd is almighty! Although it was sweltering hot the while day and especially during my drive homebound today, a surprise visit provided the cover that I needed in order to remove the golden mustard 2015 and replace it with the dark bloody red 2016 registration sticker on the upper right corner of my back license plate.
Although I couldn’t take my 15-minutes, mid-afternoon break at my temp job from work due to barely remembering to post the credit card payment for that black guy’s customer, at around 1610 or so, I arrived home to find a dark bluish Lexus SUV. It belongs to Gloria the Chinese parishioner, who was born and raised in the Philippines. She can speak Tagalog, the main language of the islands.
I hugged her but wore my dark sunglasses. She thought I was a guy! Connie, the Twit Wifey’s Chinese friend, also thought I was a guy long ago when my parents and I dropped off something at Das Squirrel’s house.
So yeah, for the past few days and especially this morning, I was thinking and devising a way to re-place my old/new stickers. And so after taking a shower, I quickly put on my clothes and dark sunglasses, grabbed the blue-coloured magnetic screwdriver, and headed out to my car.
Earlier, my car barely squeezed to the right driveway because the elderly woman parked crooked and took some of the middle driveway! I barely squeezed out from my driver’s side!
Anyway, I squatted down low behind my car and hid behind the tall SUV, which provided the cover against the camera of the crazy bitch living next door to us.
Thank goodness for the sweltering hot weather! It was so hot that the sticker was easy to remove! The screwdriver slid across the sticker and the sticker peeled off! I hurriedly place the new sticker and eagles quickly away.
Mission accomplished until next year!
