For the first time, Mom and I finished watching “The Music Man” on KQED. We enjoyed this televised show. There were lots of talented singers/actors/dancers doing their “does-see-does” and “hee-haws” and other violent jerking, yet, colorful movements reminiscent street dancers popping out their joints.
I recognized the songs – “76 Trombones”, “Till There Was You”, “Gary, Indiana” and also recognized the old actors – Opie, err, Ronny Howard, Buddy Hackett, and Shirley Jones. I must be “that” old to appreciate this sort of musical genre. And y’all thought I was one of the “younger” generation. Bah! Touche! Idiots.
Anyway, after the show, I was thinking of Pete as being characterized/portrayed by that main actor – selling his scam, which he claimed was NOT a scam. But that I sorta/kinda know who he really was but played along until the “coup-d-gra” on his fat-ass bodice.
