Hello y’all: This is Flynn with another pause in life.
For two days, my paternal Auntie Edith contacted me via my smartphone and text messaging. But I played along normally.
She talked about her last minute trip to the Philippines where she and her husband attended the funeral of her sister-in-law, who was over 81 years old.
She wanted me to pick-up a souvenir of Queso cheese that she bought from the Philippines! I got angry and scolded her.
In my mind, anyone could buy cheese locally. But for her and her kind, including my cousin Chill, they take advantage of people like my family and me.
I told my aunt that she could afford to travel far and yet she can’t visit her older brother, my elderly father. I kept emphasizing her that it would mean a lot to him and my mom.
She tried to insist that I’m young and could drive my parents to pick-up the dumb cheese. She said that we are too far away. I scolded her in return for that stupid comment. Touche!
She complied with my request, though, and called Mom yesterday to greet her a Happy 74th Birthday, and invited her to eat out and pay for lunch Saturday. But we declined since payback would be around the corner.
So, this morning she and Ogie came and went around 1000 – 1030, respectively. Mom and I could sense that their visit, like yesterday dinner’s visit from Das Squirrel and his twit wifey, was NOT sincere!
Mom couldn’t say much, while my aunt did most of the talking. Her nasty husband, a Cavite, ignored the conversation and kept busy with the smartphone. I turned off our Wi-Fi; so he can’t access it.
He didn’t talk much to my Dad, who was clueless to notice that the nasty guy wasn’t interested. Based on that behavior, my paternal Uncle Ed was correct to point out Ogie’s nastiness.
No wonder my aunt is stressed out. The guy is rude, like Das Squirrel and the twit wifey. They don’t care for visiting my parents anymore and are merely forcing themselves to show face.
So, this event marked my second confidence in assertiveness. The first one was avoiding Ate Ising’s bad behavior, something eerie about that woman as per Mom.
I’ve much to learn about being polite and candid, which Mom will try to do going forward. We got tired of nasty, rude people.
With lots of hisses,
Evil Kitty
