Like yesterday, sylphs ahoy! Only this day is freezing and breezing. Yesterday was hot. The afternoon sun was piercing against the left side of my face as I waited for traffic to pass before entering into the main “artery” of rushing cars.
Today went NOT too well! We had encountered many obstacles! Five minutes before the mass started there was an accident. A beige mini-van crashed into a electrical/tension wire angling upward from the ground to one of those TALL/dark electrical pole. We assume that maybe an old person passed out and/or confused the pedals between the brakes and acceleration.
We parked TWO blocks away and walked to church in our HIGH heels, which for me kept slipping/sliding, not because of the nylon hose/stockings but because I lots weight and now the snug fit of these low-heels sandals were LOOSE! The yellow/crime scene tape went up to block OUR sidewalk. We had to CROSS/jay-walk across to the other sidewalk and then across the blinking/pedestrian cross-walk BACK to OUR sidewalk section of the parish.
We saw Gloria, who spoke with Mom about the accident this morning. Carlos didn’t seem interested in greeting us. That guy is still nasty/damn creepy. He doesn’t smile. Divorced creeps sure do act weird. They sat at a two-seater tabled row in the middle/between the aisle of booths on either side.
THEN, we waited fifteen minutes to be served breakfast at Denny’s, which was full of people and had lots more servers. I liked the skinny/long-haired/green-eyed Mexciano, he was the host/seating dude. Nice. I suspected that our ASIAN features made the servers WAIT on us longer than AMERICANS would expect. So I put both of my fisted knuckles up against my cheeks/bones and then the Mexicana came over to take our order. Bahaha! Idiots.
Anyway, our bill came out to be $30.89. Dad tendered cash of $40.00. Of course, the aliens/ETs were joke with me/us by communicating through numerical sequences. Our change was $9.11, a CIA coding or something weird – I do NOT know. But I pointed out to Dad more surprises on our Denny’s/breakfast receipt – Table: 22 Guest: 3. That would be the inverse/reverse numerical value of 322, or SKULL AND BONES! A biker man and his hog wife were in the next booth. I saw the wife turn her head to the right when I mentioned the SAB aloud. And of course I mumbled something about – “you didn’t hear anything important. It’s only theory”.
Other obstacles was our salad dressing: It didn’t turn out good. Maybe the substituted ingredients were OLD or incorrect. We used olive oil instead of salad oil, whatever that is. So I ended up taking 30 minutes to shop at SaveMart and Safeway, which was more expensive. I was late coming home to Dad’s 75th HB lunch at 1300. Mom called my cellphone and left a voicemail message that they’ll eat without me. But I came home around 1310 and then took another five minutes to undress from this morning’s early morning walk.
The lunch went well and the twosome left around 1530, after lunch, cake and cards. I guess it’s time to go to mass again and sing.
