Here are my photos showing “gabi” (or taro roots). They have brown barks with appears to be hair, like a human and/or dog! Hehe. So I used the peelers to remove its bark-like skin/hair and Maw cut those in half to be boiled in soup later on. The texture/taste is like a softened baked potato but with a smoother “starchy” taste.
One photo shows a BIG taro root, which Maw didn’t want me to peel with gusto. Another photo showed a partially peeled “gabi” with a “face”.
