I’ve been re-reading the latest “letter from our pastor”. It looks like he needs our money, err, “help”, by evangelizing within the boundaries of the surrounding community to those who are “Catholics”, who may/not attend but are NOT registered to CONTRIBUTE weekly and/or their time.
Nonsense! Y’all can “testify”, like moi, such as blogging! As a matter of fact, I already did my part because a stalker, who is my next door neighbor, followed me TWICE thus far to our local parish! And I did NOT have to “evangelize”!
Honestly, being a discipline in “Christ” to “self-donate” time is like being a student in high school “fund-raising” efforts. I recall going to EACH RESIDENCE and “begging” for “hand-outs” in exchange for a ceramic mug imprinted with our graduating year!
I wasn’t loud enough but the Norwegian/white girl I was accompanying me helped with the “sales pitch”. Fast forward, I’m no louder then as I am now. I don’t think I’m effective with people or convincing these people to “fork over” their hard-earned dough.
I do NOT believe in ministry. It is NOT God’s will to force people to come over and worship. They might NOT be “Catholics”. They might have a “falling-out” with the doctrines/teachings. They might be on FIXED INCOME or un/deremployed without income, like moi.
Some have simply awaken to the fact/truth that God is everywhere and y’all do NOT need to attend mass to make peace with your Maker(s) or whatever non-entity that makes you “exist” in that philosophical constraint.
Bottom-line: These Filipinos are becoming too “involved” in the problems of “white people”. I resent this “propaganda”. People just want to go to church and meditate. I don’t know why y’all need to keep this “busyness” and noise to justify “attendance”. As far as I’m aware, y’all are “showing-off” to other parishes that y’all on “top” and that makes me sick!
